Headache rn. Slowly going away but still, headache. Really should have napped after work.

Tomorrow is my last day in retail, hopefully forever. I finally got the docs for my new job, it's been upgraded to a standard 9-5, which is nice I guess. I have kinda mixed feelings about it but I'm mostly positive, and like, even if I thought it sucked it was gonna happen anyway.

I also started Alan Wake, just got through the first episode. It's pretty good so far. It definitely feels like an older game, but it hasn't aged poorly at all. It is really weird to play a Remedy game that isn't a visual masterpiece, but I think that's mostly Control spoiling me.

Also this is maybe a weird note to end on, but there's something oddly off-putting about reading that Tencet purchased a minority stake in Remedy, and pretty soon after that Remedy started making a multiplayer game in collaberation with them. Idfk about Tencent as a company, really, it's more just. Does a 4% stake really give that much control, or was the stake just a side effect of the partnership? If the latter, why the hell did they buy the stake off another company and not just get it from Remedy? I'm honestly probably overthinking this.
